 The determination of organic chlorine compounds and trihalogenmethanes showed significantly less formation of mentioned by-products than defined in the German Drinking Water Standards (TVO) regardless of concentration of free chlorine in Anolyte.

 Moreover, as the formation of halogens proved to be significantly less than defined in the German Drinking Water Standard (TVO) and the pH-Value only slightly decreased, Anolyte produced in diaphragmatic Envirolyte cells is highly recommended as safe and effective disinfectant.
